A number of years ago, we installed a system for the owner of a high-volume c-store - truck stop operation. When we consult with clients and when we're in the design phase of a new system, we often suggest covering driveway and parking lot areas - and such was the case with this client.
Shortly after installation a creep (that's what we call lying criminals in search of free-money), claimed he slipped and fell on our customer's sidewalk. Our customer documented his statement and dropped it - along with a CD burned with video footage that showed the crook walking to and from his vehicle - across the parking lot and sidewalk - without incidence of any slipping or any falling.
When the "letter" from the creep's attorney arrived a couple of weeks later, our client's reply was simple, "Please review the enclosed video and let me know if you'd like to pursue this matter any further."
