Undoubtedly the single most important area in the C-Store business is the transaction or register desk. The "T-Zone" is not just what goes on behind the desk but also (often more important) what goes on in front of the desk. Capturing clear facial images and being able to denote monetary denominations across a wide field of view certainly demonstrate the “challenge” side of the equation.
The hybrid D/NVR’s that we build from the case up, coupled with the advent of Mega-Pixel IP cameras, and is GuardDog Surveillance System’s “opportunity” answer. Virtually every C-Store project we’ve done for some time now has included MP-IP technology – in some cases we’ve replaced as many as four (4) analog cameras with a single, we’ll focused Mega-Pixel IP camera.

FUEL PUMPS - MINIMIZING DRIVE-OFF SHRINK

The single camera noted in the layout above covers eight (8) fuel pumps (providing license plates at each) in the foreground (about 75’ from the store – left photo above) of the layout while also providing license plates at four (4) of the six (6) pump stations (across the street) at a distance of 250 feet! (right photo above).
This single camera replaced eight (8) cameras – and freed up valuable input space on the DVR – which were previously mounted on the roof of the building and provides better images than any of the older units.
